Yurie Rich is the founder and president of Native6, Inc. Founded in 2001, and headquartered in Seattle, Washington, Native6 is a leading provider of professional services focused on IPv6 knowledge enhancement and integration for some of the largest organizations in IT and government. The company provides IPv6 education services and critical integration services designed to accelerate the IPv6 adoption process and provide customers with a distinct competitive advantage.
Prior to founding Native6, Yurie served as both program director for the professional service group and program manager for VoIP services at Zama Networks, Inc., an IPv6 ISP startup. Yurie gained much of his computerization and technology integration experience from his work with companies such as L3 Communications, 3M, Dennis Eagle and Sudershan Chemicals. Prior to his work with these organizations, he provided educational services in both academic and vocational settings for several universities and private training companies.
In addition to his role as president of Native6, Yurie serves on the steering committee of the North American IPv6 Task Force as the Business Director and on the board of the IPv6 Business Council. He is also an active participant in the IPv6 Forum and frequent speaker on the subject of IPv6.
Yurie holds an M.B.A. and a B.A. from Washington State University.

John Spence is chief technology officer for Native6, Inc. Founded in 2001, and headquartered in Seattle, Washington, Native6 is a leading provider of professional services focused on IPv6 knowledge enhancement and integration for some of the largest organizations in IT and government. The company provides IPv6 training services and critical integration services designed to accelerate the IPv6 adoption process and provide customers with a distinct competitive advantage.
Prior to joining Native6 in 2003, John held the position of senior network security engineer for Washington Mutual at the company’s headquarters in Seattle, Washington. At Washington Mutual he was responsible for security policy and for building network infrastructure. As a senior IT manager and IPv6 engineer at Zama Networks, Inc., an IPv6 ISP startup, John worked with IPv6 on a daily basis. Previously, he acquired several years experience with the IPv6 protocol in the network operations and engineering departments of IBM, TRW Space and Defense, Northrop Grumman Corporation, and at the Frank Russell Company, an investment company serving large enterprise and institutional investors.
John has collaborated on numerous IPv6 whitepapers and articles. Additionally, he provided input to the forthcoming second edition of Pete Loshin’s book, IPv6 Clearly Explained.
John is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and Certified Wireless Network Administrator (CWNA). He holds a M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Loyola Marymount University and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University.
