IPv6 Readiness Assessment

Transitioning a network to IPv6 can be a challenging and complex task. Often, the key to a successful transition is adequate planning and a comprehensive understanding of your network’s current state. Native6 offers a number of consulting products designed to thoroughly assess your networks ability to support IPv6, and begin the transition planning process.

What it is:

The Native6 IPv6 Readiness Assessment and Transition Strategy service is designed to help clients understand their current ability to support IPv6 integration. A careful assessment of the organizations infrastructure, technical and business drivers for adoption, and staff skill set allows Native6 to develop strategies for transition.

How does it work:

Native6 employs a 6-stage methodology to develop IPv6 transition recommendations. The scope and duration of the process will vary depending upon the scope and depth of the planned integration. We recognize that many organizations will look to deploy IPv6 in an incremental fashion, and consequently will only have portions of their network audited for integration.

Covered in greater detail on the opposing side of this document, the six stages of the IPv6 Readiness Assessment are: Integration Scoping, Discovery, Analysis, Identification, Reporting, and Recommendations.

What do you get:

The outcome of the IPv6 Readiness Assessment [PDF] process will yield three important components:

  • A clear understanding of your networks readiness for IPv6 integration, and
  • Guidelines for advancing your company IPv6 transition project, including equipment, applications, and personnel, and
  • Specific recommendations on methodologies and approach for IPv6 integration based upon business requirements and technical capabilities.
