The IPv6 Forum

A world-wide consortium of leading Internet vendors, Research & Education Networks are shaping the IPv6 Forum, with a clear mission to promote IPv6 by dramatically improving the market and user awareness of IPv6, creating a quality and secure Next Generation Internet and allowing world-wide equitable access to knowledge and technology, embracing a moral responsibility to the world.

 

The North American IPv6 Task Force

The North American IPv6 Task Force(NAv6TF) is a sub-chapter of the IPv6 Forum dedicated to the advancement and propagation of IPv6 (Internet Protocol, version 6) in the North American continent. Comprised of individual members, rather than corporate sponsors, the NAv6TF mission is to provide technical leadership and innovative thought for the successful integration of IPv6 into all facets of networking and telecommunications infrastructure, present and future.

 

The IPv6 Business Council

The IPv6 Business Council was chartered and formed in October 2004 by the NAv6TF Steering Committee. The purpose of the council is to link what is possible with IPv6, with what is needed by the North American business community. The goal of the council is to determine and develop how best IPv6 can be utilized to help companies in the normal operation of their business in the near future.

 

Moonv6

The Moonv6 project is a global effort led by the North American IPv6 Task Force (NAv6TF) involving the University of New Hampshire - InterOperability Laboratory (UNH-IOL), Internet2, vendors, service providers and regional IPv6 Forum Task Force network pilots worldwide. Taking place across the U.S. at multiple locations, the Moonv6 project is the largest permanently deployed multi-vendor IPv6 network in the world. The U.S. Goverment's Department of Defense Joint Interoperability Testing Command (JITC) and other government agencies, the Defense Research & Engineering Network (DREN) and the High Performance Computing Modernization Program (HPCMP).also play significant roles in the Moonv6 demonstrations ensuring DoD interoperability and migration objectives are identified and demonstrated.

 

The Swiss IPv6 Task Force

The Swiss IPv6 Task Force was formed to educate, advocate, and advance the deployment of IPv6 in the Swiss IT community.
