Building IPv6 Networks
Course Name:
Building IPv6 Networks
Course Duration:
Five Days
Course Description:
In today's challenging technology market IT support personnel are
required to have a broader range of knowledge, rather than specializing
in any one specific area. Recognizing this change, Native6's IPv6
Infrastructure course was developed to provide participants with a
comprehensive overview of the IPv6 protocol, and how it is being
supported within the larger network infrastructure. Upon completion of
this course, participants will have the baseline knowledge to begin
experimenting with IPv6 in the context of their specific networking
environment.
Content Overview:
Designed to provide the most comprehensive overview of the IPv6
protocol, this course combines a heavy mixture of lecture and lab.
Subject material covers the fundamentals of IPv6, IPv6
addressing, v6 features, DNS, routing, transition mechanisms, mobility,
and security. Lab work will include enablement of IPv6 on several
operating systems and networking hardware, supporting IPSec in an IPv6
environment, integrating transition mechanisms into an IPv4 network,
enabling IPv6 supported routing protocols, and integration of IPv6 into
a simulated enterprise environment.
Intended Audience:
This course will meet the basic IPv6 needs of network and system
architects, engineers, support personnel, and anyone with an interest
in the next generation Internet protocol.
