Native6, Inc. is proud to host our second advanced IPv6 subject matter workshop on January 12, 2006 in Arlington, VA. The goal of these workshops is to provide attendees with access to a concentrated day on a particular IPv6 subject matter, with a focus on deployment, support, and critical issues. Presenters for the day's subject will come from a variety of sources, including government, defense, private industry, IPv6 expertise bodies, and the network security world.
Participation will be encouraged, with a number of panel discussion and Q&A sessions. At the conclusion of the workshop, participants will be armed with a comprehensive understanding of the principles of IPv6 security, security issues for those integrating IPv6 into their environment, and a well developed sense of the security requirements for the United States Department of Defense, Homeland Security, and commercial world.
This event is a hosted event, with meals and refreshments served throughout the day.

Content Overview:
Areas covered in this workshop will include: networks security baseline discussion, review of the v6 protocol security architecture, comprehensive coverage of the morphology and categorization of IPv6 security threats and considerations, transition security issues for dual-stacking, encapsulation, and translaiton (plus issues for specific transition mechanisms), coverage of IPv6 security tools, including tools for assessment, monitoring, and securing an IPv6 environment, IPv6 security paradigms for Department of Defense, Homeland Security, and the commercial sector, discussion of HAIPE and IPv6, QoS and Security, and guidance on best security practices for IPv6 networks.
Intended Audience:
The Advanced IPv6 Security Workshop is open to all parties interested in IPv6 and Security, but particularly relevant to CSO, Network Architects, Network Security Architects, Security Administrators, network security policy architects and administrators, and those with a responsibility for administering and maintaining IPv6 environments.
